Amount of tanks and tank sizes:
1x 75gallon, 2x55gallon, 1x45gallon, 1x20gallon
long, 5x10gallon, 1x300gallon pond=10 tanks total and 1 pond Total
of 600 gallons.
Racks: There is one rack which is hand made. It's a
3 tier rock that holds a 45gallon high(top), a 20gallon long(middle),
and three 10gallon(bottom).
Storage:
I keep two 10gallon tanks under my 55gallon to
save space. I also made the 3 tier rack to save floor space and
does a great job at doing so.
Heating:
I use Rena Cal Basic heaters on all my tanks.
They keep my tanks between 78-80 degrees year around.
Lighting:
The 75gallon uses two 21" Ultraviolet Resources
Actinic and two 48" Hagen Powerglos on a custom worklight.
All the other tanks run on Hagen Powerglos which give a bright
white look to the tanks. .
Filtration:
75gallon - Amiracle wet/dry filter with a 600gph
pump, Aquaclear 500, Penguin 330, and a Hagen 301 powerhead for
flow. 55gallon(2) - Both have a Aquaclear 500, Penguin 330, and
a Hagen 301 powerhead for flow). 45gallon high - Three Penguin
170s and a Hagen 301 powerhead for flow. 20gallon long - Two Penguin
170s. 10gallon(5) - All use Sponge filters.
Electric installation:
Standard outlets with power boards and power strips.
Flooring:
All tanks are on carpeted flooring.
Substrate:
All tanks are using Quickcrete Playsand. 75gallon
is using Carib Sea Tahitian Moon Sand.
Interiors, (plants rock work):
75gallon has Texas Holey Rock. All the other tanks
use slate, limestone, and river rocks.
What could have been done better?
Electrical installation air pump installation.
Do you have a show tank in your livingroom?
Yes. My 75gallon all male hap tank is my show
tank.
Fish
What cichlids do you keep?
I keep both cichlids from Lake Malawi(Aulonocara,
Copadichromis, Scienochromis, Protomelas, Placidochromis, Nimbochromis,
Lethrinops, Otopharynx, Pseudotropheus) and Lake Tanganyika(Cyphotilapia,
Altolamprologus, Tropheus, Cyprichromis, Synodontis).
Your favourite fish in the room and why? (only one individual)
I would say that my Aulonocara baenschi is my
all time favorite. Hes my oldest fish and has a great personality.
Hes also not very aggressive and gets along with everybody.

Waterchange frequency:
25% once a week.
Method of waterchanges:
Python and buckets.
Smart gadgets to help working the room:
Python. I dont know how I used to do water changes
without it!
Foods for fry and grown fish:
The main staple I use for all my fish is New Life
Spectrum pellets. I also use Cyclops-Eeze, frozen brine shrimp,
frozen mysis shrimp, daphnia, and shrimp.
